Position Summary

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services, related to Accounts Receivable. This position requires advanced Excel skills and capability which may be tested during the interview process. With over 140 employees and 4 offices across 4 provinces, and over 100 years of experience, DSL can offer a career that is stable, challenging, and rewarding.

What you’ll do:

  • Organizing and updating digital records
  • Calculating billing amounts, and printing and mailing bills when needed
  • Reminding customers about upcoming payments or past due accounts
  • Making electronic or cash deposits to company bank accounts
  • Using software to send invoices and payment reminders electronically
  • Keeping accurate records of payments that are received from customers
  • Creating reports for supervisors and providing digital copies of records when requested
  • Contract date : June 2025 – February 2026

What you’ll need:

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or related field; or
  • 1 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Committed to superior customer service
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting functions required
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Computer literacy, including advanced Excel proficiency are required
  • Effective and professional communication skills
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
  • Detail oriented, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Possess excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn and navigate new software quickly

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Edmonton, AB T5L 3H6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

  • Accounts receivable: 1 year (required)
