How To Get Gas Customers Inside Your C-Store

Coffee and Cold Beverages are the most likely to motivate your customers to go inside.

With many customers opting to pay at the pump, foot traffic in convenience stores has seen a decline in recent months. Retailers looking to increase foot traffic and incremental sales are turning to beverages to bring customers inside their location.

The report from the Coca-Cola North America Knowledge & Insights Group states that 49% of consumers said coffee, and 42% said nonalcoholic beverages are the most motivating when it comes to going inside to make a purchase.

One way to increase in-store traffic is to offer discounted fuel promotions with an in-store purchase.

In fact, 73% of those surveyed suggest these are the best promotions and most likely to result in an in-store purchase.

Advertising current ongoing promotions at the pump is equally important, with 40% of consumers being influenced by signs at the gas pump.
